APEX has attained the certifications of ISO9001 Quality Management System, ISO14001 Environment Management System, ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, and operates and manages them in strict accordance with the system requirements. APEX has passed API Q1 Specification for Quality Management System Requirements for Manufacturing Organization for the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry, and ISO 3834 and EN 1090 International Welding System Certification. At the same time, the products developed and produced by APEX have obtained API-11E, API-7K, API-8C, API-7-1, API-6A and other product certifications. The process of product realization in each project is strictly controlled in accordance with the requirements of the quality system. All quality management staff for special processes are trained and certified.

Non-destructive Test & Measurement Tools

APEX has several quality inspectors with NDT level II and III certificates, who are familiar with American, European, Chinese national standards and more. APEX is capable of non-destructive testing such as visual, magnetic particle, penetration, ultrasonic, etc. according to the standard requirements. APEX is equipped with sets of high-precision CMMs for high-precision dimensional measurement, and the measurement accuracy is as high as 0.5μm. Other corresponding measuring instruments are provided for thread, taper, surface roughness, internal and external dimensions, etc. At the same time, all measuring instruments used are regularly calibrated according to management regulations, which ensures the measurement accuracy of machined products.

Welding Quality Assurance and Control

APEX has International Welding Engineers, International Welding Specialists and CWI/CSWIP International Welding Inspectors, which guarantees that the Procedure Qualification Record (PQR), Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and Welding Book are prepared according to AWS, ASME, ISO, GB, and relevant welding standards. APEX’s laboratory is capable of various physical and chemical test including VT, UT, MT, PT, macroetch test, tensile test, bending test, impact test, fillet weld breaking test and can independently complete the process evaluation experiment. Furthermore, APEX has established working relationships with third-party inspection institutions such as SGS, BV, TUV and LR, which can meet the special requirements of different customers for welding. All the welders in APEX must pass the welder skills assessment prior to being allocated to their post, ensuring that the welding process meets the standards of different product categories.

APEX has qualified inspectors with NACE CIP level III. APEX is equipped with professional testing equipment for surface roughness to reach Sa2.5 level and for roughness, dust, temperature and humidity, salt detection, painting adhesion, wet film thickness and dry film thickness. The paint quality meets the international surface painting technical requirements.

Laboratory Testing

APEX has established an independent physical and chemical laboratory which is equipped with a full set of equipment such as direct reading spectrometer, Brinell hardness tester, Rockwell hardness tester, metallographic microscope, impact testing machine (including low temperature tank), universal mechanical testing machine, and heat treatment furnace for test. The test operation is carried out by state-certified physical and chemical testers, which can effectively ensure the quality control of raw materials and related processes.
